WHERE ART AND NATURAL HISTORY MEET Talas Art animal and bird pendants and wildlife carvings are created in ancient fossilized mammoth ivory and other natural materials. My handcrafted pendants are prized for the detailed workmanship designed to capture the essence of the animals, birds, and other wildlife that I carve while also connecting people to the beauty and mystery of the prehistoric and natural materials that I use. Found in the Alaskan and Siberian wilderness and the depths of the North Sea, ancient mammoth ivory offers stunning rich colors absorbed from minerals in the earth over thousands of years. Owning a piece of mammoth ivory jewelry is owning a unique piece of ancient history. Equally connected to the natural world are the antler carvings I create from naturally shed antler and bone. The shape of each antler offers a free form allowing an abstract shape to become a living wildlife carving.
All of my pendants and wildlife carvings are my original designs. Some customer favorites portray the eagle, hawk, wolf, bear, owl, deer, horse and buffalo. The Symbols pendants include Tree of life, Healing hand, Chinese OM, Tibetan OM, and Angel Wing. I hope you enjoy my work.
